Whistler, of course, is world famous for skiing, rated first or second in North America for many years. It is only a 1 1/2 hour drive from Lockehaven, an easy day trip.

One of the best kept secrets about Vancouver however, is there are 3 excellent ski hills right here on the North Shore, no more than a 30 minute drive away from Lockehaven. Cyprus Mountain hosted a number of the ski events for the 2010 Olympics and compares favourably with the best of the ski areas in eastern North America. All three, Cyprus, Grouse and Mt Seymour offer night skiing. So, if you want to include some excellent skiing with your business or pleasure trip to Vancouver, Lockehaven with its quick access both downtown Vancouver and to all four ski areas is well worth considering.
