Accommodation Policies

By making a booking at Lockehaven you are agreeing to abide by the following important policies:

• Adults Only (mimimum 15 years old, one person must be at least 21 years old)
• Non-Smoking Environment. Smoking is not permitted either inside the suites or on the outdoor decks.
• Guests must specify the number of persons that will be staying in the suite at the time of booking.
• Burning of any type of material is not permitted at Lockehaven, inside or outside, including candles, oil lamps, incense and portable cooking devices. Electric barbeques are provided on each of the suite decks.
• Standard check-in time is between 5:00pm and 8:00pm (You may be able to arrange with us to drop off your baggage here for safe keeping before standard check-in time)
• Check-out time is before 11:00 am
• No Guest Pets

If you have any concerns or questions about any of the above, please be sure to ask, prior to making your booking.

Advance Payments

• We require a deposit by credit card of 20% of the total price of your stay to make a reservation.
• At least 30 days prior to your date of arrival, an additional deposit by credit card is due to bring the total advance payment up to 50% of the total amount of your booking. To make a booking with arrival within 30 days, the full 50% deposit will be required.
• The 50% balance is required upon your arrival.

Applicable Taxes

Please note the changes starting April 23.

The Tax payable on short term accommodation in British Columbia (e.g. Lockehaven) will be increasing in the coming months as follows:

• For guests arriving before July 1, 2010, the "GST" tax that must be added to all payments will still be 5%.
• For guests arriving after June 30, 2010 the law will require:
  • The new "HST" tax of 12% must be added to all payments made after April 30.
  • Payments received before May 1 are subject to only the old 5% GST tax.

• All rates are the same whether there are one or two people occupying the suite.
• All prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars and all payments are to be made in Canadian Dollars. Currency Converter
• All advance payments must be made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card. When on-site, you may also pay by Interac compatible debit card or in cash in Canadian Dollars

Cancellation Policies

We recommend that you purchase cancellation insurance, to cover the potential loss of any deposits due to inability to travel for medical reasons.

• If you cancel your reservation at least 30 days in advance of the arrival date of your reservation, we will refund any advance payments that we have received from you.
  
• After 30 days in advance of your reserved date of arrival, all advance payments are not refundable, unless we can resell time you had reserved. In this case, the refund will be in proportion to the amount of revenue we can recover from resale to other guests.
