The Deep Cove Canoe
and Kayak Centre, only 15 minutes walk from Lockehaven, is one of
the main attractions of Deep Cove. Beginners can first get the feel of
the kayak in the sheltered waters of the cove and then venture out into
the spectacular scenery of the fiord of Indian Arm. The centre has over
100 kayaks and conventional canoes as well. Lessons and tours are also
available. |

Sunshine Kayaking is located in the harbour of the charming village of Gibsons at the south end of the Sunshine Coast. You can easily go kayaking there in a day trip from Lockehaven. You get to Gibsons by taking the ferry to Langdale on the Sunshine Coast from the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal, at the west end of West Vancouver. Gibsons is a short drive or bus ride from the Langdale Ferry Terminal. From Gibsons by kayak you can readily access several picturesque islands and inlets while admiring the view of the mountains surrounding Howe Sound. Visit the website at www.sunshinekayaking.com |
